RIBBON PROJECT - ART COUNSELING is a creative counseling approach in which Emilio Aponte has integrated his thoughts, artistic knowledge and counseling expertise. This integration has tangible results when translated. Its are Art Counseling Tools (ACT) for the counselors and educators which serve to open a free flowing dialogue between counselor and counselee. Each of this ACT can be purchased to be used by counselors to open dialogue with their clients or used by you, an extraordianry human being who love having an unique art piece. Each art piece is for sale too, and the Artist Emilio Aponte can be contacted if you want to do a special art work, portrait or special project. The goal of the Ribbon project is to create Art Counseling Tools using multidisciplinary forms of art to be utilized by Counselors and/or Educators when helping people improve their well-being related to: HIV/AIDS, Breast Cancer, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, and Bulling.

The Collection is the first Art Counseling Tool designed by the artist and counselor Emilio Aponte as fundamental piece of Ribbon HIV: An Art Counseling Tool impressing upon people's sense of risk for HIV transmission in South Florida, USA. It has been created as an adjunct tool to be used by counseling persons who are engaged in HIV/AIDS high risk behavior. The first exhibition of Ribbon HIV was featured at the LATINPRIDE Gallery, located in the Pride Center, Wilton manors, Florida from July 5 to September 5, 2011. It can be used for many organization, schools or you. Contact us and find out how we can work together.
